We began life in a garage
in San Carlos in 1984 fixing floppy disk drives. 5.25" floppy
drives were the standard then, and we were repairing computer
hardware with 8" Frisbee-sized floppy diskettes! The Macintosh
was young on the scene and introduced a 3.5" floppy disk
standard. The way the Mac ejected floppy diskettes in those
days resulted in decapitated read heads in the drives, so
we developed a means of repairing those head assemblies.
Then we worked with a client-developer to write software
to get the heads to park properly. Not long after, Apple
incorporated the head-parking process into their Mac OS.

Soon after we opened our doors,
our customers began begging us to repair and recover data
from their hard drives. The biggest PC hard disks at the
time were 10 MB (drives hold 10,000 times as much data today).
So to serve their needs, we invented data recovery! We've
been recovering data ever since.
For the past twenty years, we've
continuously improved upon our methods. We've trained many
of the leaders in the field. We've recovered data for tens
of thousands of clients worldwide.
Our clients
have included the US military, Fortune
500 companies, schools, small firms, and individuals.
In the process, we have also developed
computer forensics technologies. Steve Burgess, our founder,
is a highly sought expert
witness, with clients worldwide. He has testified
around the country.
Having been experts in the field
for two decades, the firm maintains its expertise in data
transfer and conversion services. We can transfer
data from old media or legacy hardware and convert data
from obsolete, archaic and arcane programs into formats
the client can read and use today."
"I would like to express
my heartfelt confidence and respect to the staff...
always responsive to clients... takes the client's
need to understand into consideration when explaining.
They always make our organization feel like we're
their most important client. Thanks a billion."
